Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

My son Lex took the photo that I used as inspiration when I painted this picture of stately lodgepole pines along a trail near Shanahan Ridge in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado where we live. The wild pink pea flowers were in full bloom throughout the fields, creating a stunning pink blanket over the hillside in front of us. For years I have been painting trails and wondering why. I have come to believe that it is the quiet voice of God that has been speaking to me through my art, guiding me along my way.... "Follow Me".
Anne Gifford is an award winning artist and the eight time poster artist for Colorado's Bolder Boulder 10K Memorial Day Race, one of the largest road races in the United States. She began her career as a silkscreen artist. After 25 years of printmaking, Anne now works with watercolor, building successive layers of color to create her vibrant, rich, and detailed paintings. She has lived in Colorado since 1976 and finds inspiration in the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Her paintings, like a pictorial journal, have chronicled her journey thus far. On her many walks and hikes throughout the area, she is always on the lookout for new imagery. She relishes the depiction of a magic moment and the evidence she finds of the pulse of life,...
